I have an hourglass figure that is hard to dress in vintage without pulling out vintage full-body girdles and other torture devices to reign in the curves – not to mention but will – and other fluffy parts . I love vintage but I love vintage that meets my personal tastes and not make me look like a flash from the past.
Shrimpton Couture or @ShrimptonCoutur does it for me. It is like Christmas or an anticipated gift to find new things loaded on their site frequently. Some of the prices are incredibly reasonable for the haute couture vintage and reconstructed vintage sold on Shrimpton Couture and some are pricey though I’d say relative to the quality and their rarity. Everything is well-worth the money spent, sustainable and timeless in appeal. Plus, you can shop by size, designer and era, which makes the site fun to navigate.
During one of my imaginary shopping trips I spent $2150 (though I could find but one couture piece at Saks for the same amount) on the items below at Shrimpton Couture
